Hello! My name is Josefin but I go by Josie.
I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and even stuck around long enough to receive my BFA in Film and New Media at the University of Nebraska’s Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film.
I then moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to attend USC’s School of Cinematic Arts to earn an MFA in Film Production with an emphasis in Editing.
I graduated, despite several Critical Studies papers, in the spring of 2012.
I began my career in feature films as an assistant editor on GOOSEBUMPS, HOW TO BE SINGLE and BLACK PANTHER. As an editor, Josie has worked on a variety of projects including SUMMER ’03, a feature selected for competition at SXSW 2018, and DON’T LOOK DEEPER, an original Quibi series premiering Spring 2020.
I love Powell & Pressburger movies, karaoke and using my Cricut. I’ve always got a opinion on the legacy of musicals and will gladly mock draft book-to-movie adaptations.
