Hello! My name is Josefin but I go by Josie.
I was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and even stuck around long enough to receive my BFA in Film and New Media at the University of Nebraska’s Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film.
I then moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to attend USC’s School of Cinematic Arts to earn an MFA in Film Production with an emphasis in Editing.
I graduated, despite several Critical Studies papers, in the spring of 2012.
I began my career in feature films as an assistant editor on GOOSEBUMPS, HOW TO BE SINGLE and BLACK PANTHER. As an editor, I have worked on a variety of projects, including LEIMERT PARK, a web-series selected for Sundance 2018’s indie episodic program and most recently SUMMER ’03, Becca Gleason’s feature debut selected for competition at SXSW 2018.
I love British period pieces, karaoke and Pinterest-worthy crafts.
I’ve always got a podcast recommendation and will gladly
mock draft book-to-movie adaptations with you.
